Rob de Rooij
has over 30 years professional experience in animal disease control, animal
health and animal production in public and private sectors and over 15 years
experience as director of consultancy firms and project director. Rob has
team leader experience in long term projects (Zambia eight years, Ethiopia
two years) and on short term assignments.
Rob has
extensive operational experience in implementation and management of
livestock-related services, including supply and distribution of livestock
inputs, laboratory management, and management of veterinary field services,
and ample experience with institutional development, legislation and
enforcement of regulations, cost recovery, privatization and administrative
reform. His experience includes work in integrated livestock/rural
development projects and his skills include project cycle management,
administration, budgeting, monitoring & evaluation, design of implementation
strategies, staff training and human resources development.
