	Information systems development
Information forms the basis of effective decision making and analysis in many livestock related activities.

VEERU staff have extensive experience and expertise in the development of appropriate livestock information systems. Through long-established collaboration with PAN Livestock Services Limited, VEERU has access to some of the most advanced livestock information systems in the world. These range from software for on-farm use (InterHerd) through to national livestock traceability programs (InterTrace). With the growing emergence of farm assurance and livestock traceability, new systems are constantly under development by PAN/VEERU staff. The resulting programmes and data offer many opportunities for academic research.
